Pre-China

I hope everyone reading this will be able to laugh, cry, and smile with me as I tell the tales of my stay in Shanghai, China. I will do my best to post everyday with pictures and amusing stories.

I will be in China from April 16th-May 16th and will be doing an assortment of activities, some of which include teaching English, a trip to Beijing, touring, and helping out at an orphanage. I am not going through a program or with a group; I will be traveling solo and staying with friends of the family.

To be honest I haven’t had time to think about it and so I haven’t been excited or nervous or really anything. It didn’t really hit me until late tonight. So…

Excited? Yes.
Nervous? Only about the food – but I’m sure I will end up loving most of it.
Language? Rosetta Stone and HS classes under my belt, I’m hoping being there will help!
Time Change? Shanghai is 12 hours ahead.
